The program gives the student a future directed IT education on a high national and international level. The student gains the ability to perform independent, pratical IT work, as well as to work with guided research. This degree is for that reason a good foundation for a professional work environment, as well as future studies for a PhD degree.

Bachelor of Information Science, UiB
Information Science is the study of information- and communication technology seen in relation to individuals, groups, organizations and society in general. The degree looks at the relationship between technology, and the humans that creates knowledge and information. More specifically how knowledge, information and data can be, and actually is supported, by IT-systems is explored in detail. These systems could be information systems, programs, databases, computers, networks or the Internet. Central topics in Information Science is the construction of theories, models, methods, techniques and tools for better handling knowledge and information.

Information Technology, Griffith University
The program focuses on the software development process, including the application and integration of information technology in organisations. A systematic approach to software development is emphasised through the specification, design, construction and testing of software systems. You will gain an understanding of professional and ethical issues, while developing communication and small-team skills. Extensive computing project work with industry clients will give you practical experience in systems design, project management, software quality assurance and programming.
